In the heart of Ethiopia, READIO, Ethiopia, led by Dr. Lisanwork Honsebo, is dedicated to bridging healthcare gaps in underserved communities. His passion for humanitarian healthcare began in high school when he witnessed his mother struggle to access medical care after an emergency accident. This life-changing experience inspired him to become a doctor and dedicate his career to serving the most vulnerable.
Since 2020, Dr. Lisanwork has led READIO’s multidisciplinary team—including Medical Doctors, Pediatricians, Surgeons, Psychiatrists, Midwives, and Public Health Experts—providing free maternal and child health services, malnutrition interventions, emergency response, and disease prevention. His team has reached over 50,000 individuals, responding to disasters, malnutrition, and maternal health challenges across Ethiopia.
Through resilience, compassion, and innovation, Dr. Lisanwork and READIO continue to save lives and empower communities—ensuring healthcare reaches even the most remote areas.
